From measuring to warranty, here's what American buyers ask most often before ordering an AKEfit® cover.
How do I measure my patio chair or equipment before buying a cover?
Measure the widest point of your item at width, depth (front to back), and height (ground to the tallest point). Pick the AKEfit cover whose stated dimensions meet or exceed those measurements by 1–2 inches. If you're between sizes, go up — a slightly loose cover with the drawcord pulled tight always outperforms a cover that's stretched over the item.
Is the AKEfit Oxford fabric really 600D?
Yes — denier ratings are printed on each label and confirmed against our mill certificates of compliance. Our patio chair, propane tank and firewood log hoop covers ship in 600D Oxford; our cooler cart cover is 500D; our tricycle cover is 210D, sized appropriately to its use case. All variants are full PU-coated on the interior.
How waterproof are AKEfit covers?
Every AKEfit cover combines an Oxford shell with a full polyurethane (PU) interior coating and seam-sealing tape on critical joins. The construction is rated above 10,000 mm water column — the same standard used for professional tents and outdoor shelters — and field-tested against multi-hour rain, snow and wet-weather exposure.
Will the cover hold up in high wind?
Yes. Every AKEfit cover includes some combination of click-close straps, windproof buckles, adjustable drawcords and/or elastic hems — sized to the product. The patio chair cover has 4 click-close straps and 4 windproof buckles; the firewood log hoop has 2 buckles and a bottom drawstring; the tricycle cover uses quick-release buckles with elastic.
Does the cover have ventilation?
Every AKEfit cover large enough to trap air has mesh-backed air vents. Vents prevent internal condensation and wind lofting — the two most common failure modes for outdoor covers. Small covers like the propane tank and trimmer engine versions include air vents or drawcord vents as appropriate to their form factor.
Can I use the washing machine cover outdoors on a covered porch?
Yes. The 2-pack washing machine cover is rated for exterior or covered-exterior use. The two-zipper system lets you access the machine front or top without removing the cover — critical for daily-use appliances. Keep in mind the back is vented to allow heat dissipation; orient that side toward open air, not against a wall.
What is AKEfit's warranty?
Every AKEfit cover is covered by our 365-day replacement warranty against defects in material or workmanship. If your cover fails under normal use, contact the warranty team with your order number and we ship a replacement — no stitching kits, no extended photo chains, no hidden deductibles.
Where does AKEfit ship from?
All AKEfit orders ship from our fulfillment facility in Portland, Oregon. Domestic orders typically arrive in 3–5 business days; expedited options are available at checkout on eligible orders.
